proPIC is a project launched by several European universities that aims at promoting professionalism, innovation and transnational collaboration in regard to teacher education. It is best described by the following paragraph:
"proPIC Europa is an Erasmus+ project which runs from September 2017 to September 2020. Initiated by the University of Education Karlsruhe, it brings together five partners: Newcastle University (UK), the University of Barcelona (Spain), the University of Borås (Sweden), the University of Kiel (Germany) and the University of Education Karlsruhe (Germany). Transnationally, the partners intend at empowering both, prospective teachers and themselves, teacher educators, to actively engage in lifelong learning processes and to cooperatively establish a culture of self-reflection, innovation and interculturality in foreign and second language learning and teaching. The project is determined by the interplay between research-orientation, transnational collaboration and the creative use of mobile-technologies." What is ProPIC, 2019
"The proPIC project is about helping you to develop your professionalism through innovative digital methods and collaboration with others. Underpinning this project is the belief that technology is good for teaching and for learning."
The first study week of proPIC took place at Kiel University. It was an intensive week full of new acquaintances, interesting contents and important things to consider when it comes to our personal and professional development as students and future teachers. This page of my portfolio is dedicated to the first study week. You will find impressions about the first study week as well as the activities from proPIC's tutorials in this chapter of my portfolio.
